This almond-shaped lamp is decorated with grape-vine and grape designs. The recessed pierced fill hole is encircled by a petal-like design. The pierced wick hole also has elongated petals around it. The handle is worn but was not pierced. Shape: Almond-shaped lamp with slightly concave circular base; carinated body profile; small central fill hole in broad concave discus set off by circular ridge; wick hole at pointed end of body, set off by raised ridge; unpierced rounded handle nub at broad end of body. Decoration: Relief decoration on top consisting of six-petaled rosette around fill hole on discus; grapevine motif on shoulder; group of seven loops in area between wick hole and discus, varying sizes, radiating from wick hole. Inscriptions: None. Condition: Intact; minor surface chips; burnt all over; very worn and discolored.
