This grey molded lamp is of the frog variety. There is a distinct separation between the medium-width pierced nozzle and the ovoid body. The pierced fill hole is recessed and surrounded by the design, which consists of two palm fronds, one large bump at the posterior and two bumps on either side, flanking the fronds. Shape: Round-bodied lamp with flat bottom; slightly carinated profile; extended nozzle, rounded at end; central fill hole in concave discus. Decoration: Relief decoration on top consisting of palm frond design; one frond on either side of discus, terminating in small loops; between the ends of the fronds is a round relief projection; two smaller round projections are also on either side of the fronds; two ridges at juncture of nozzle and body; band of ladder pattern on axis of fill hole and wick hole. Inscriptions: None. Condition: Intact; worn and encrusted.
