This brown lamp is pot shaped and was wheel turned. The surface around the large fill hole is flat. The handle is conical and is of a different type of clay than the lamp and therefore was probably not original. The nozzle is large and open and comes to a rounded point. Shape: Round bodied lamp with flat base; globular profile; large central fill hole surrounded by broad ledge rim; long triangular open nozzle coming out from body; opposite nozzle is upright triangular un-pierced handle and appears to be a later addition. Decoration: None. Inscriptions: None. Condition: Mostly complete except for restored handle; some minor chips along rim and nozzle; heavily burnt around nozzle.
