This small tan lamp is circular in form with a long, thick, fluted nozzle and large pierced wick hole projecting out from one side. The decoration is very simple, consisting of three raised dots and four pairs of incised lines radiating from the central, recessed, pierced fill-hole. Shape: Round bodied lamp with flat base set off by circular groove; pair of parallel diagonal grooves on either side of nozzle on underside; rounded body profile; small concave discus with central fill hole; extended flaring nozzle, rounded at end. Decoration: Pairs of radiating grooves on shoulder alternating with raised dots (three total) -- dots formed with added bits of clay on surface; short horizontal groove across nozzle marking off wick hole. Inscriptions: None. Condition: Intact; traces of burning around wick hole.
