This fictile lamp with a red slip contains a recessed discus, and volutes on the medium-length nozzle. It has a ring handle with two incised lines ion its front curvature. There is a hole under the nozzle and a portion of the reservoir is missing. Shape: Round bodied lamp with shallow ring base; slightly convex sloping lower body; sharply carinated to flat shoulder; broad concave discus set off by ridge framed by two narrow circular grooves; small central fill hole; extended nozzle, rounded at end; pair of volutes flanking nozzle axis; pierced vertical round handle with pair of dorsal grooves opposite nozzle. Decoration: Reddish orange slip on all surfaces (2.5 YR 5/6 red). Inscriptions: None. Condition: Mostly complete; one large and one small hole in underside of body; worn; encrusted; slight trace of burning at tip of nozzle.
