This tan lamp is round of body with its medium, pierced nozzle protruding from it. the pierced fill hole is recessed and surrounded by the raised checkered design of a typical frog lamp. The hind feet and legs of the frog are distinguishable. Shape: Round-bodied lamp w/flat base surrounded by a shallow groove; central fill hole within concave discus; extended nozzle w/rounded termination; sharply carinated body profile. Decoration: Frog lamp. Relief decoration on top: circular ridge surrounding discus; stylized frog pattern on shoulder; tail and hind legs opposite of red slip. Inscription: None. Condition: Intact; some minor surface chips; slip mostly worn away; heavy burning around wick hole.
