This black, metal lamp is unique in shape. The base resembles a saucer and the wide, open, cup-shaped reservoir is held up on a tall, slender column. The handle is a thin metal strip extending down from the rim of the reservoir to, but not touching, the bottom of the column.  The rim is slightly dented for the wick. Shape: Lamp with base in the form of a shallow bowl with flat base and flaring concave sides; solid cylindrical pedestal; cup-shaped reservoir, slightly pinched on one side to form spout; very narrow handle (square in section) attached at lip opposite spout, extending down to lower part of pedestal, but not attached. Decoration: None. Inscriptions: None. Condition: Intact; bits of bright green fabric attached on bottom; entire surface blackened, encrusted, and sticky; handle is fairly clean, showing coppery metal with drop of silver on it?
