This red, fictile lamp is partially covered by a brown slip. It is delphiniform and the side projection is very small. The lamp is void of any decoration other than the incised circle around the recessed fill hole. The nozzle is medium and wide. Shape: Round-bodied lamp w/disk base and long nozzle with rounded termination; central fill hole surrounded by concave plain discus set off by groove; small unpierced lug on one side, slightly less than right angle to spout. Decoration: Red to dark brown slip covering top and dripping down sides; underside unslipped. Unevenly fired. Inscriptions: None. Condition: Mostly intact; surface worn w/ numerous small chips and abrasions; burning around wick hole; some encrustations.
