This closed rim lamp with off-set fill hole has a pierced handle and a raised design of a cupid sowing seeds. It is of a red clay with a slight pierced projection for a nozzle. Shape: Round bodied lamp with flat base; slightly convex side walls; rounded shoulder; concave discus; small off-center fill hole; short extended rounded nozzle; vertical ring handle with pair of grooves on top, single groove on bottom; small raised dots on either side of handle on shoulder. Decoration: Relief decoration on top consisting of winged figure in discus, in profile to the right; possibly with upper body and head frontal; right arm lowered behind him holding something; left arm extended in front holding something; indeterminate object in field in front. Probably Eros. Inscriptions: None. Condition: Intact; very worn; encrusted.
