This gray, fictile lamp has a brown slip covering the recessed areas, but not those exposed to wear. The lamp is circular in form and has a recessed top. The nozzle is voluted and it lacks a handle. The relief decoration on the centrally pierced discus is not discernible. Shape: Round bodied lamp with very slight ring base set off by inner and outer circular grooves; rounded body profile; central fill hole in broad concave discus extending to edges of lamp on top; extended nozzle flanked by volutes, the curled ends of which extend into tapered ridges on sides of body. Decoration: Dark reddish brown slip on all surfaces.  Relief decoration on discus consisting of five concentric grooves around outer edge of discus; set of three concentric ridges around fill hole; radiating stylized leaves or petals on discus. Inscriptions: None. Condition: Intact; very small hole in side of reservoir; very worn; slip largely gone; otherwise clean.
