Roman period, 1st century CE. Shape: Round bodied lamp with flat base set off by circular ridge; slightly carinated body profile; broad central fill hole; long, broad, and extended nozzle with flaring sides and rounded end; slightly offset wick hole; upright, partially pierced, pyramidal handle. Decoration: Slightly recessed circular area on top extending onto nozzle axis; two parallel, closely spaced, horizontal ridges on nozzle axis; curved volute-like ridges on sides on nozzle, extending onto underside of body and nozzle. Inscriptions: None. Condition: Nearly complete; large chips by fill hole; badly cracked; flaking surface; worn; whitish encrustation; heavily burnt near wick hole.
