The body of this red lamp is very irregular, but basically circular. The nozzle is voluted. The top bears a simple scroll decoration. Shape: Round bodied lamp with shallow disk base; rounded body profile; small concave discus with small off-center fill hole; extended flaring nozzle, slightly rounded at end. Decoration: Reddish orange slip unevenly applied, mostly on top.  Relief decoration consisting of hieroglyphic sign on nozzle axis (vertical ridge with three horizontal ridges), flanked by volutes where nozzle joins body; radiating petal design around outer edge of discus; possible traces of radiating lines on shoulder. Inscriptions: None. Condition: Intact; few minor chips; traces of burning.
