A printed leaf from a commentary on the Bible, this from Ezra. It is printed in Latin in double columns of 38 lines on laid paper of hemp and linen which shows a partial watermark. Printed by Nicholas Jenson in his rotunda blackletter, the lower case displays much humanist influence and is "close to the Subiaco type in many ways." A heading of "Esdre II" is printed on the recto along with a catchword at the bottom outside corner. The author was a Franciscan Friar.
