This circular lamp has a short, thick, pointed nozzle. The lamp is of tan clay but the top is covered by a gray material. The top is decorated around the recessed fill hole, but the decoration seems to be only geometric. The bottom bears a potter's mark. Decoration: Relief decoration on top consisting of three concentric grooves surrounding discus; radiating pattern of petals with ridges inside double squares on shoulder; series of V-shaped ridges and grooves on nozzle axis (stylized palmettes?). Shape: Round bodied lamp with flat base surrounded by a shallow groove; carinated body profile; small concave discus and central fill hole; extended nozzle rounded at tip. Inscriptions: Potter's mark on base (two palm fronds). Condition: Mostly complete; recomposed from three pieces; small gap in side wall; encrusted; worn; burnt around wick hole.
