This gray, circular lamp was wheel turned and has a pedestal base. The short pointed nozzle has a large wick hole. The fill hole is recessed. The handle is missing but sat well upon the edge of the fill hole recess. Shape: Round bodied lamp with disc base; carinated body profile, concave below and rounded on shoulder; deep concave discus with small central fill hole; extended flaring triangular nozzle, rounded at the tip; oblong handle on shoulder at rear, broken off, ends extending down body. Decoration: Covered with matt gray slip on all surfaces. Inscriptions: None. Condition: Mostly complete; missing handle; minor surface chips; burnt near wick hole.
